ABOUT THE DESIGN

Moondials are very closely associated with lunar gardening (night-blooming plants). There is something so beautiful and mysterious about the image of a flower blooming in the darkness. I often think about how much goes on at night while humans are asleep and I find so much inspiration in the moon - how it seems to possess human-like characteristics at times. How its phases influence the tides and the growth of plants at night. But, perhaps the most impactful impression the moon has left upon me is that we will all go through fragmentary phases in this life, where we may feel inadequate. Yet, we are always whole. 

When I think about how profoundly connected we are to the moon, it inspires me to create, dream, and share my art.
